Cancellation and Refund Policy

Membership Cancellation
Fit Happens memberships renew monthly unless canceled. You may cancel without a cancellation penalty.
To submit a cancellation request:

• Online: Through the cancellation option provided on our website or member portal.
Certified mail is not required. Please include enough information for us to identify your membership. Keep your cancellation confirmation or other proof of submission.
We accept cancellation requests upon receipt and process them no later than three business days afterward.
Initial Cooling-Off Period
You may cancel within three business days after receiving your written membership contract for a full refund of all payments, including enrollment fees and dues. Refunds are issued within ten business days after receipt of your cancellation notice.
Monthly Renewals
You may cancel a monthly renewal within three business days after it takes effect. Fit Happens will reverse or refund the charge for that renewal.
For ordinary cancellations received after that period, your membership remains available through the current paid billing period and will not renew. Current-period dues are not otherwise refunded unless an additional cancellation right applies.
Additional Cancellation Rights
Additional cancellation rights apply if:
• You move more than twenty-five miles from any Fit Happens location.
• A significant physical disability prevents you from receiving the contracted services for more than three months.
• The member dies.
• Contracted services cease or substantially change because of permanent closure or a substantial change in operations.
We may request reasonable supporting evidence. Refunds for these cancellations are issued within ten business days after receipt of cancellation notice, subject only to deductions permitted by law.
Enrollment Fees
Enrollment fees are fully refundable during the initial cooling-off period. Afterward, they are generally nonrefundable for ordinary voluntary cancellation, except where a refund is required by law. We do not apply a blanket enrollment-fee exclusion to statutory cancellation rights.
Holds and Billing Questions
A membership hold is not a cancellation. To end your membership, submit a cancellation request.
If you believe you were charged incorrectly or after cancellation, contact us so we can review your account.
Your Rights
This policy does not limit rights provided by New York law. Any more protective rights required by applicable law remain available.
